Easy Tea Cake Recipe | Fluffy Tea Cake Recipe with Video Recipe. It is a Super soft and fluffy vanilla sponge cake, which has a golden brown color outside and soft crumbs inside. You can enjoy this delicious, soft and fluffy sponge cake with evening tea. It’s preparation is very simple. It’s preparation is just like a basic vanilla sponge cake only, only difference is that you need to melt butter in hot milk and then we need to add that butter melted hot milk in the cake mix. Powdered Sugar-1 Cup
Vanilla Essence-1 tsp
Maida /All Purpose Flour-1 Cup
Baking Powder-1 tsp
Baking Soda-1/2 tsp
Oil-1/4 Cup
Milk-1/2 Cup
Butter-1 tbs
How To Make Tea Cake
- Add eggs, powdered sugar and vanilla essence in a bowl, then beat it until it turns fluffy.
- Place a sieve over the bowl. Add maida/all purpose flour, baking powder and baking soda in it then mix it well and sift it.
- Add oil in it. Mix it gently with a spatula using cut & fold method.
- Further, heat 1/2 cup milk in a pan and add butter in it.
- Then mix it well and let the butter melt completely.
- Next add this to the cake mixture.
- Finally, mix it gently using cut and fold method.
- Tea cake batter is now ready.
- Grease a cake tin with oil then line it with a butter paper. Again grease it with oil and pour the cake batter into the cake tin then tap it for removing air bubbles.
- Preheat oven at 180 C for 10 minutes.
- Then place the cake tin inside the preheated oven.
- Bake it at 180 C for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, insert a toothpick in the middle of the cake, if it came out clean then the cake will be ready, if not bake the cake again until done.
- Once cake is done, take out the cake tin from the oven, then allow it to cool down completely.
- Once cooled down completely, cut it and serve it.
