Carrot Cake Recipe

This is a soft and delicious cake with Carrot. I Usually  prepares Plain sponge cake only,but for a change this time I added grated carrot,walnut and cinnamon in it. It enhanced the flavor of the cake. I didn’t decorate it,but if you need,u can decorate it with cream cheese icing. This is a simple and easy to make cake recipe. Ingredients
All purpose flour(maida)-2 cup
Baking soda-1 tsp
Baking powder-1 1/2 tsp
Salt-1/2 tsp
Cinnamon powder-1 1/2 tsp
Granulated sugar-1 1/2 cup
Egg-4
Vegetable oil-1 cup(any flavorless oil)
Vanilla extract-2 tsp
Grated Carrot-1/2 cup
Walnuts chopped-100 grams

Method Of Preparation

  • Preheat the oven at 180 degree C for 15 minutes
  • Grease the baking tray with butter and dust flour or spray non-stick cooking spray along the sides and middle of the baking tray
  • Mix all the dry ingredients-Maida,Baking soda,Baking powder,salt and cinnamon powder in a bowl
  • Beat eggs well(I used whisk for beating)
  • Add sugar little by little and beat till sugar dissolves
  • Add vanilla essence and mix well
  • Add 1 cup oil and beat it well
  • Add flour little by little in to this mixture and mix well
  • Add grated carrot and chopped walnuts in it and mix well
  • Bake for 30 minutes at 180 degree C (Insert a toothpick into the center of the cake.if it came out clean,then the cake is ready)
