It is very easy to make cupcakes in appam pan. It came out well for me and the taste of these cupcake was equivalent to the taste of the cupcakes that we used to make in oven. In this cake batter I am adding grated carrot, raisins and cinnamon powder, it will enhance the taste of these cupcakes. it may take longtime to cook, If you are making cupcake in oven, but these cupcakes you can cook in just 5 minutes. Ingredients
Egg-2
Sugar-1/2 cup
Maida (All purpose flour)-1/2 cup
Baking Soda-1/2 tsp
Baking Powder-1tsp
Salt-1/4 tsp
Vanilla essence-1tsp
Grated Carrot-1/4 cup
Raisins-1/4 cup
Cinnamon powder-1tsp
Method Of Preparation
- Take egg in a bowl
- Beat it well using a whisk or mixer
- Then add sugar little by little into it and beat well until sugar dissolves completely
- Take maida (All purpose flour),baking soda, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Mix it well and sift it for 2,3 times. We need to sift this mix for making the cake soft
- Add this flour mix into the egg sugar mix
- Now combine everything well using a whisk, no need to beat it now. Cake may become hard if we beat it again, so just mix everything well using whisk
- Add vanilla essence into it and mix well
- Add grated carrot, raisins and cinnamon powder into it and mix well
- Cake batter is now ready
- Take appam pan(paniyaram pan) and grease it with little oil
- Pour the cake batter in 3/4 of each mould
- Switch on the flame
- Cover the pan with a lid
- Cook it on low flame for 5 minutes
- After 5 minutes, open the lid
- Yummy Soft Cupcake is now ready
