Today  I am posting here the recipe of a healthy cookie that you can prepare for christmas festival. In this recipe of ragi cookie, I have used jaggery instead of sugar, for making it as a healthy cookies. Ragi is loaded with several health benefits, like ragi is a good source of vitamin D and it’s   a good source of iron, hence it will help in increasing hemoglobin levels in our body, so including ragi in your diet is good for your health. Ragi is a gluten free cereal, so those who have gluten intolerance can have these cookies. I just thought to prepare cookies for this christmas festival, but most of the cookies are loaded with sugar in it, so thought to prepare this healthy cookie made with jaggery and thought to share this recipe with you. My 4 year daughter liked it very much, and she asked for more. I am sure that your kids will also love this cookies. As it’s a healthy cookies, you don’t need think more about their health. Ingredients
 
Ragi flour-3/4 cup
Wheat flour-1/4 cup
Baking Powder-1/2 tsp
Coco Powder-1 tbs
Powdered Jaggery-1/2 cup
Melted Butter-1/3 cup
Milk-1/4 cup
Cashew nuts for decorating
 
Method Of Preparation
 
  • Take a mixing bowl, Place a sieve over it.
  • Add ragi flour, wheat flour, baking powder, coco powder and jaggery powder in it.
  • Mix it well and sieve it.
  • Just mix the sieved powder mix.
  • Add melted butter in it.
  • Mix it well with your hand.
  • Add milk in it and mix it well with your hand.
  • It should hold together.
  • Take a portion of mixture in your hand and shape it into a cookie
  • Decorate the top with cashewnuts.
  • Place it on an oil greased tray.
  • Take a kadai
  • Place a stand inside it.
  • Close it with a lid & Heat it for 10 minutes on medium flame.
  • After 10 minutes, open the lid and place the oil greased tray over the stand.
  • Close it with a lid and cook it for 15 minutes on medium flame.
  • After 15 minutes, ragi chocolate jaggery cookies will be ready.
  • Take out the tray and allow it to cool down completely.
  • Once it’s cooled down completely, ragi chocolate jaggery cookies will be ready to serve
