Soya Chilli Recipe | Soya Chunks Chilli Recipe | Restaurant Style Soya Chilli Recipe with Video Recipe. Soya Chilli, also known as Soy Chilli or Chilli Soya, is a popular vegetarian dish that combines the flavors of soy chunks or soy granules with a spicy, tangy sauce. It is a delicious and protein-rich alternative to meat-based chilli dishes.

It’s preparation is very simple. The soy chunks are first soaked in hot water and then they are squeezed to remove any excess moisture. Next, the soy chunks are marinated in a mixture of spices, sauces, and cornflour. Common marinade ingredients include soy sauce, ginger-garlic paste, chili sauce, and vinegar, The marinated soy chunks are left to sit for a while, allowing the flavors to penetrate.

Once the soy chunks have absorbed the marinade, they are stir-fried or deep-fried until they turn golden brown and crispy. This cooking method gives them a delightful crunch. In a separate pan, a sauce is prepared using a combination of ingredients like soy sauce, chili sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, and spices such as ginger, garlic, and green chilies. The sauce is cooked until it thickens and develops a rich, aromatic flavor.

The crispy soy chunks are then added to the sauce, and everything is tossed together to ensure that the chunks are well-coated with the flavorful sauce. Additional vegetables like bell peppers, onions, and spring onions are often added for added crunch and freshness. The dish is cooked for a few more minutes to allow the flavors to blend together.

Soya Chilli is typically served hot, garnished with chopped spring onions or coriander leaves. It pairs well with steamed rice, fried rice, noodles, or even as a filling for wraps and rolls. The dish offers a balance of spicy, sweet, and tangy flavors, with the soy chunks providing a hearty and satisfying texture.

Soya Chilli is a favorite among vegetarians and vegans due to its resemblance to meat-based chilli dishes, along with its high protein content. It is not only delicious but also a nutritious option for those looking for plant-based protein sources. Try this recipe and let me know your feedback.
