Egg Bread Pockets Recipe | Egg Bread Puff Recipe | Egg Bread Kids Snack Recipe with Video Recipe. Popular snack recipe made with leftover bread slices and a filling with egg. It combines rich flavors of bread and egg. It has a fluffy and puffy texture. 


Egg Bread Pockets | Egg Bread Puff preparation is very simple. It is a combination of 2 recipes, ie. bread roll and bread puff recipe. Generally puffs are made with a plain flour dough, but you can make this recipe just with a left over bread slices. However you can make this recipe also with the plain flour dough. Here I have used a filling with egg. Vegetarians can use any filling with the vegetables of their choice. Before deep frying the bread pockets I have dipped it in the mixture of egg and milk, but you can make a slurry with flour and water instead of egg milk mixture. People who are health conscious can just bake the bread pockets in oven instead of deep frying it. You need to bake it at 180 degree celsius for 15-20 minutes. 

Before coming into the recipe, I would like to list some tips here for making perfect bread pockets. I have used fresh white sandwich bread slices for this recipe. You also need to use the same for making the perfect bread pockets. Before deep frying the bread pockets you should ensure that the edges of the bread pockets are thoroughly sealed with water or flour slurry, otherwise it may burst out and the filling my come out to oil. Egg Bread Pockets Ingredients

Eggs-3

Oil-2tbs

Onion-1/4 Cup (Finely Chopped)

Green Chili-1

Ginger Garlic Paste-1/2 tsp

Turmeric Powder-1/4 tsp

Coriander Powder-1/2 tsp

Red Chilli Powder-1/2 tsp

Pepper Powder-1/4 tsp

Garam Masala-1/4 tsp

Salt-1/4 tsp

Curry Leaves

Bread Slices-6

Milk-2 tbs

How To Make Egg Bread Pockets

  • Firstly, Boil water in a heavy bottomed pan. Add 2 eggs in it and boil it.
  • Take out the eggs from it and remove the shell of the egg.
  • Then grate the egg and keep it aside.
  • Secondly, Heat 2tbs oil in a pan, then add onion, green chilli and ginger garlic paste in it
  • Saute it until it turns golden brown in color.
  • Next add turmeric powder, coriander powder, redchilli powder, pepper powder and garam masala in it. Then sauté it until raw smell of powders goes off.
  • Add grated egg, salt and curry leaves in it and sauté it for 1 minute. Filling is now ready.
  • Further take bread slices and cut the edges. Flatten it with a rolling pin.
  • Add the egg mixture filling in the center. Spread some water in the edges and seal the edges.
  • In a bowl, Take 1 egg and add 2tbs milk in it and beat it well.
  • Finally, dip bread pockets in egg mixture and deep fry it until both sides turns golden brown in color.
  • Egg Bread Pockets are now ready to serve.
