It is a healthy halwa recipe as we used jaggery instead of sugar in this recipe. Unlike other halwa recipes, this recipe doesn’t require cornflour and custard powder, here I have used rice flour for getting thickness for halwa. Ingredients
Tender coconut flesh- 1 Tender Coconut
Ghee-3 tbs
Jaggery Powder-1 cup
Rice Flour-1/4 cup
Cashew nuts Broken-10
Raisins-10
How To Make Tender Coconut Halwa
- Take flesh of a tender coconut.
- Then, cut flesh into small pieces.
- Add the coconut flesh pieces into a mixer.
- Grind it into a paste and keep it aside.
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Add the grounded tender coconut paste in it and sauté it until tender coconut paste becomes thick.
- Add jaggery powder and rice flour in it.
- Further, mix it well and let the jaggery dissolve completely.
- Add ghee in it and mix it well.
- Saute it until the mixture starts to come together and leaves the sides of the pan.
- Halwa is now ready.
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Add cashewnuts and raisins in it.
- Saute it until it turns golden brown in color.
- Finally, add the fried cashewnuts and raisins in it and mix well.
- Take an oil greased bowl.
- Add halwa into the oil greased bowl.
- Allow it to cool down completely.
- Once it’s cooled down completely, remove it from the bowl.
- Cut it & Serve it.
