Easy & Tasty Potato Fry Recipe | Easy Aloo Fry Recipe with Video Recipe. Today I am sharing here with you the recipe of a side dish that you can prepare easily with potato/aloo. It is South Indian style potato fry made with potatoes and spices. This side dish is very easy to prepare with very less ingredients that are always available in your kitchen. It will go well as a side dish with rice. You can try this recipe when you want to prepare an easy side dish but you don’t have more time to prepare anything and you don’t have any other vegetables other than potatoes in your house. Ingredients


Potatoes-3 (Chopped)

Oil-2 tbs

Urad Dal-1/2 tsp

Mustard Seeds-1/2 tsp

Cumin Seeds-1/2 tsp

Curry Leaves

Garlic Cloves-4 (Chopped)

Asafoetida Powder-1/4 tsp

Turmeric Powder-1/2 tsp

Redchilli Powder-2 1/2 tsp

Cumin Powder-1 tsp

Coriander Powder-1 tsp

Salt to taste

Method Of Preparation

  • Chop Potatoes into small pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add urad dal, mustard seeds and cumin seeds in it.
  • Let it splutter.
  • Add curry leaves and garlic cloves in it.
  • Saute it until garlic cloves turns golden brown in color.
  • Add asafoetida powder in it.
  • Mix it.
  • Add chopped potatoes in it.
  • Saute it until potatoes are half cooked.
  • Add salt to taste in it.
  • Add turmeric powder, redchilli powder, cumin powder and coriander powder in it.
  • Mix it well.
  • Fry it on medium flame until potatoes are cooked well.
  • Garnish it with curry leaves
