Today I am posting here the recipe of an easy and delicious dessert that you can prepare with ripe banana. Here I have used overripe small bananas for making this burfi. If you have overripe small bananas in your home, then don’t throw it away, you can prepare delicious buffi with it by following this recipe. Normally burfi is made with sugar, but in this burfi recipe I am using jaggery instead of sugar. Banana has a natural sweet flavor in it, so no need to use any sugar for making this banana buffi. Ingredients
Overripe Small Bananas-15 nos
Jaggery-1 cup
Water-1 cup
Ghee-1/4 cup + 2tbs
Wheat Flour-1/2 cup
Rava-1/4 cup
Cardamom Powder-1/4 tsp
Cashew nuts- 6
Method Of Preparation
- Take overripe small bananas. Peel the skin of bananas.
- Chop banana into small pieces.
- Transfer the chopped bananas into a mixer.
- Grind it into a fine puree & Keep it aside.
- Take jaggery in a pan. Add water in it.
- Heat it on low flame. Let the jaggery dissolve completely.
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Add wheat flour in it.
- Stir continuously till the ghee gets completely absorbed.
- Add rava in it.
- Saute it until it turns aromatic.
- Add banana puree in it.
- Mix it well until it combined well.
- Add jaggery syrup in it.
- Mix it well.
- Stir it continuously till the jaggery syrup absorbed well.
- Add cardamom powder and 2tbs ghee in it.
- Mix it well.
- Stir it continuously till the mixture seperates from the pan.
- Once the mixture started to separate from the pan, it is the correct texture.
- Transfer the mixture to a oil greased tray.
- Level it with an oil greased spoon.
- Decorate the top with cashew nuts.
- Rest it for 2 hours or until it set completely.
- Once it sets completely, cut into pieces and serve
