Vegetable Fried Rice Recipe


As I am already mentioned in my previous post, I am posting here the recipe of vegetable fried rice which I have prepared along with Gobi Manchurian. If you are looking for something you need to prepare in less time when quests are coming in your house then it will be a good choice to prepare this vegetable fried rice. Only you need some vegetables and soy sauce for preparing this. You dont have to go to a restaurant to have your favorite vegetabled fried rice. Here is a simple recipe to make it at home. Today we can learn how to prepare vegetable fried rice. Try this recipe and let me know how it turned out for you

Basmati Rice-1 cup
Onion-1,finely chopped
Carrots-1/4 cu
Beans-1/4 cup
Bell Peppers-1/4 cup
Cabbage-3 tbs
Spring Onions-3 tbs
Garlic,chopped1 tbs
Ginger,chopped-1 tbs
Olive oil-2 tbs
Pepper powder-a pinch
Vinegar-1 tsp
Soy sauce-1 tbs
Salt to taste

Method Of Preparation

  • Wash the rice till the water runs clear. Soak it for at least 30 minutes and cook the rice by adding water,1 tbs oil and 1 tbs salt in it. The quantity of water needed for cooking the rice should be double than the quantity of rice. Here I used 2 cup water for 1 cup basmati rice. Once the water started to boil reduce the flame and cook the rice. When the rice becomes just cooked remove the pot from fire. If you are cooking the rice in cooker then turn off the flame before the first whistle is about to come. Make sure that rice are not over cooked, Drain off the rice to a colander. Cool it completely. It is better to cook the rice overnight and keep that in fridge and use it on next day
  • Heat oil in a pan then add chopped ginger and garlic in it and saute it for few seconds
  • Add chopped onion in it and saute it well till the onion becomes translucent.then add all the vegetables like carrot,beans,cabbage,bell peppers and salt in it and saute it for few minutes 
  • Finally add the cooked rice in it and mix well. Then add pepper powder,little salt,soy sauce and vinegar in it and mix well.
  • Finally add the spring onions. Mix well and switch off the flame
  • Vegetable fried rice is ready to serve hot with Gobi manchurian
