Mango Pulissery

Pulissery is a yogurt based gravy.This is the one of the main dishes in kerala sadhya recipe. I used mango for preparing this pulissery. It has a sweet and sour taste.Try this recipe. I am sure that all will love the taste of this recipe

Servings:4 People


Ripe Mango-1
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Red chili powder-1/2 tsp
Yogurt/curd-1 cup
Salt as needed

For Grinding

Grated Coconut-1/2 cup
Green Chilies-2
Cumin seeds/Jeera-1/2 tsp

For seasoning

Mustard seeds-1’2 tsp
Fenugreek seeds-1/4 tsp
Red Chilies-3
Curry leaves- few
Oil-2 tbs

Method Of Preparation

  • Clean and cut the mango into small pieces.
  • Cook the mango pieces along with a little water,turmeric powder,chili powder and salt until it turns to soft
  • Grind grated coconut,green chilies and cumin seeds with yogurt to a fine paste
  • Add this paste to the cooked mango pieces and allow it to boil on a low heat
  • cook for 2-3 minutes.Remove from heat 
  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds,when it splutters add redchilies,fenugreek seeds and curry leaves
  • saute for a minute and add the seasoning to the prepared pulissery
  • Yummy Mango Pulissery is ready to serve hot with rice
