Upma is a Popular South Indian breakfast recipe.We usually prepares Upma with Semolina/Rava.This is another version of upma with Vermicelli.In our house we prepare only kheer with this semolina but one day for breakfast i perpared upma with vermicelli as i saw in other food blogs.My husband liked it very much.This recipe is very easy to prepare and healthy too as i added some vegetables in it.U can also try this version of upma.I am sure that your family will like this

Ingredients
Roasted Vermicelli/Semiya/Seviyan-1 cup
Onion-1 finely chopped
Carrot-1 chopped in to small pieces
Beans- 1/2 cup chopped in to small pieces
Green chilies-2
Ginger- 1 tsp cut in to small pieces
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Urad dal- 1 tsp
Curry leaves-few
Water-1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Oil or ghee-2 tbs
Method Of Preparation
- Heat oil or ghee in a pan
- Add mustard seeds in to it once it started to splutter add curry leaves and urad dal in it and fry for few seconds
- Add Onion it and saute well till it become transparent
- Add chopped vegetables in it and add salt in it and mix well
- Add water in it and allow it to boil and let vegetables gets cooked
- Add roasted semiya in it and mix well
- Cover with the lid and cook for few minutes
- Cook until all the water evaporates
- Check for salt and add a little more if required
- Tasty and healthy Vermicelli/Semiya/Seviyan Upma is ready to serve hot
