You can prepare variety of dishes with avocado, today I am sharing here with you an easy dessert recipe that you can make with avocado. It’s avocado kheer/avocado payasam. Avocado has a natural creamy texture, it makes this dessert thick, creamy and delicious. This Avocado Kheer/Avocado Payasam is very easy to prepare and it is a healthy dessert as we are using jaggery instead of sugar in this recipe . Try this dessert recipe if you have avocado with you. Ingredients


Avocado-1

Jaggery-1/2 cup

Water-1/2 cup

Ghee-2 tbs

Rava/Sooji- 1/2 cup

Milk-3 cup

Cashew nuts-6 (Chopped)

Raisins-6

Method Of Preparation

  • Cut the avocado in half.
  • Remove the seed.
  • Scoop out the avocado flesh with a spoon.
  • Transfer the avocado flesh into a mixer.
  • Grind it into a smooth paste.
  • Add jaggery in a heavy bottomed pan. Add water in it.
  • Heat it and let the jaggery dissolve completely
  • Strain it & Keep it aside.
  • Heat 1tbs ghee in a pan.
  • Add rava/sooji in it.
  • Roast the rava
  • Add milk in it.
  • Stir it continuously.
  • Let the milk boil and rava cook well.
  • Once rava cooked well, add avocado paste in it.
  • Mix it well & Let it cook for 5 mins in low flame.
  • Add jaggery syrup in it and mix well. (Keep the flame in low).
  • Cook it for 1 minute.
  • Switch off the flame.
  • Avocado kheer is now ready.
  • Heat 1tbs ghee in a pan.
  • Add cashewnuts in it.
  • Saute it until cashewnuts turns light golden brown in color.
  • Add raisins in it.
  • Saute it until raisins puff up.
  • Add this to the avocado kheer.
  • Mix it.
  • Avocado Kheer is now ready to serve.
