Aloo Tikki is a popular north Indian snack recipe prepared with boiled and mashed potato. Aloo means ”Potato” and Tikki means “Patties or Small Cutlets”..This recipe is an easy version of aloo tikki. In common recipe of aloo tikki, potato mixture will dip in egg or flour and bread crumbs before deep frying it in oil, but in this recipe I am skipping that step, instead of tht I added rice flour and bread crumbs directly into the potato spice mixture. Mixed everything well and deep fried it in oil. I am not friying bread before powdering it in mixer. This recipe is very simple, just you need to take boiled and mashed potatoes, then add spice powders, coriander leaves, rice flour and bread powder in it, mix everything well, make patties from this mixture and deep fry it in oil..Hope now u understood that, how easy is to make these aloo tikki/potato cutlet..Try this recipe and let me know how it turned out for you..

Bread slices-2
Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
Redchilli powder-1tsp
Coriander powder-1tsp
Coriander leaves

Method Of Preparation

  • Boil potatoes,peel off the skin and drain it
  • Mash it well with potato masher or fork
  • Take two bread slices in a mixer and powder it
  • Add bread powder into mashed potato and mix well
  • Add turmeric powder, redchilli powder, coriander powder, coriander leaves and salt into it and mix well
  • Add rice flour into it and mix well
  • Wet palm with water and make patties from the mixture
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry patties until it turns golden brown in color
