Kerala Banana Chips Recipe | Nendran Banana Chips Recipe with Video Recipe. Kerala Banana Chips are tasty banana chips made with Raw Plantain / Raw Nendra Banana and coconut oil. These banana chips are served as a side dish in kerala sadhya. You can also have it as an evening snack. These banana chips are different from the regular fried banana chips. Raw plantain/ Raw nendra banana and the coconut oil used for making these chips gives a tasty flavor for these banana chips. It is very easy to make and you need only nendra banana, coconut oil and salt to taste as ingredients for making these banana chips. Only two things you need to consider while making these chips. First thing is that you need to cut the banana into thin slices. You can use slicer for slicing banana, so that you will get proper banana slices for making banana chips. Second thing that you need to consider is that you should deep fry it until it turns crispy. You need to make sure that the banana slices are crispy. You can store these banana chips in an airtight container and can have as a snack for a month

Ingredients
Raw Plantain/ Raw Nendra Banana-3 nos
Turmeric Powder-1 1/2 tsp
Salt- 1 1/2 tsp
Coconut Oil- For Deep Frying
Method Of Preparation
- Take 3 raw plantain / raw nendra bananas. Apply oil on your hand and knife
- Cut both ends of the banana
- Make slits on the banana
- Peel the skin of the banana
- Cut each banana into thin slices. ( You can use slicer for slicing banana)
- Transfer the banana slices into a large bowl.
- Add turmeric powder and salt into it
- Add enough water for soaking the banana slices
- Stir it well
- Drain the water. Make sure that the water is drained well
- Heat coconut oil in a pan
- Drop the banana slices in hot oil
- Banana slices will stick with each other, so we should separate the banana slices with a fork. It is must to separate the slices otherwise it won’t get cooked properly
- Stir it occasionally
- Fry it for 10 minutes or until it turns crispy
- Remove the excess oil on a tissue paper
- Banna chips are now ready to serve
- Store it in an air tight container
