I have already posted the recipe of sweet egg bread toast here . but this is little spicy and crispy and I didn’t use egg in this. This will be a healthier and filling evening snack for your kids and your family. This snack served with some plain ketchup,is perfect with a hot cup of Indian tea. Ingredients
Bread-4 slices
Semolina/Sooji/Rava-1/2 cup
Yogurt/Curd-1/2 cup
Onion-1,finely chopped
Red Chili powder-1 tsp
Turmeric powder-a pinch
Coriander leaves–2 tsp,chopped
Ghee to toast
Salt to taste
Method Of Preparation
- In a mixing bowl add rava,curd,red chili powder,turmeric powder,onion coriander leaves and salt. Mix in to a smooth and no lump batter of medium consistency so that you can easily spread it on the bread
- Take a spoon full of batter and spread it on one side of the bread slice to coat well
- Heat 1/2 tsp ghee in a pan then place carefully the side of the bread which is coated well with the batter on pan then coat the other side with the batter. Once it gets cooked on one side flip and toast the bread slices till its golden brown on both sides
- Take out and serve hot with tomato ketchup
