This is a very tasty and popular side dish recipe from south Indian cuisine.This recipe is very easy to prepare.You can use any fish to prepare this recipe.Especially shark/sravu,mackeral,kingfish are good for this recipe.Take this as a side dish with rice.Let us see how to prepare this tasty side dish

Ingredients
- Shark – 1/2 kg
- Pearl Onion – 10
- Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tbs
- Green Chilies – 3 or 4
- Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Coriander Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves
- Mustard seeds
- Oil
- Salt to taste
- Grated Coconut – 1/2 cup
Method Of Preparation
1.Wash the shark pieces
2.Boil water in a bowl and cook the shark pieces by adding turmeric powder and salt in it
3.Once the shark is cooked(approximately 10 minutes)Turn off the flame
4.Put the shark pieces in cold water..Then it will be easy for removing the skin of shark
5.Remove the bones of the fish and shred the flesh
6 Grind the grated coconut with Green chilies,Turmeric powder and Coriander powder(Don’t add water)
7.Mix together the shredded flesh of fish and grounded coconut mixture
8.Heat Oil in a Pan then add mustard seeds and curry leaves in it
9.Add sliced pieces of pearl onion
10.Add the mixture of shredded fish flesh and grounded coconut mixture in it then add little water to cook
11.Cover the lid and cook for 15 minutes Stir well approximately for 5 minutes
12.Cook until the mixture is cooked well and switch off the flame
13.Sravu thoran/Sura Puttu is ready to serve hot with rice
