For the Marinade:
Chicken (with bones)-1 kg
Pepper Powder-2 tsp
Salt-2 tsp
Curd/Yogurt-3 tbs
For the Curry:
Cashew nuts-15 (Soaked and ground into a paste)
Oil-6 tbs
Butter-2 tbs
Cinnamon-2
Cardamom-4
Cloves-4
Onion-2 (Finely chopped)
Ginger garlic paste-1 tbs
Garam masala-1 tsp
Kasuri methi-1 tbs
Fresh cream-4 tbs
How To Make Shahi Chicken Curry | Shahi Chicken Korma
- In a large bowl take chicken pieces then add pepper powder, yogurt and salt. Mix all the ingredients. Set it aside for 30 minutes to marinate.
- Heat 6tbs oil+2tbs butter in a pan, then add cinnamon, cardamom and cloves in it. Stir it.
- Further add onion, salt and ginger garlic paste in it and saute it until it turns golden brown in color.
- Add the marinated chicken pieces in it. Mix it well and cook it for 10 minutes on medium heat, then add cashew nut paste and salt to taste in it.
- Mix it well. Close it with a lid and cook it for 5 minutes (Low flame).
- Finally add garam masala, kasuri methi and fresh cream in it. Mix it & Cook for 2 minutes.
- Shahi Chicken Curry is now ready to serve.
