Aval Laddu/Poha Laddu with Mixed Fruit Jam is a very easy to prepare laddu recipe. It tastes similar to the rava laddu only difference is the flavor of Poha instead of rava. I used mixed fruit for a variety instead of sugar/jaggery. Mixed fruit jam flavor makes it more tasty. Ingredients
Aval/Poha -1 cup,grind into a fine powder
Grated Coconut-1/2 cup
Mixed fruit jam-1/2 cup
Melted Ghee-1/4 cup
Elachi/cardamon-2
Cashew nuts-5 broken
Raisins-8
Milk-1/4 cup
Method Of Preparation
- Grind poha/aval into a fine a powder
- Heat ghee in a pan .Add grounded aval/poha powder in it
- Add grated coconut in it
- Dry roast it for few minutes on low flame until the aval/poha and coconut turns golden brown in color
- Add elachi/cardamon in it then mix well
- Then add cashew nuts and raisins in it and mix well
- Finally add the mixed fruit jam in it and heat it in low flame so that the mixed fruit jam will melt and mix with the other ingredients .Stir it continuously until the mixed fruit jam is well mixed in all parts
- Transfer it into a mixing bowl
- Finally add milk in it and mix well
- Start shaping them into laddus
- Store it in an air tight container in fridge and serve it as an evening snack
