Turkey Stuffed Mushroom Recipe

Ingredients:

2 lbs fresh mushrooms                                                                           ½ lb ground turkey meat
1 red pepper finely chopped                                                                   ½ white onion finely chopped
½ cup finely chopped celery                                                                    ½ cup finely chopped carrots
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese                                                          Garlic salt


In frying pan, brown the ground turkey and add in the red/orange pepper, onion, celery and carrots.

Preheat Oven to 350 F, wash mushrooms and pull the stems off of them. Use a spoon and dig out a little bit of mushroom out of the cap to add extra space for the filling. Place the mushroom caps on a baking sheet and then spoon the cooked stuffing filling into each mushroom cap. Add a pinch of the shredded cheese on top of each cap, then sprinkle the tops with garlic salt. Place in oven until mushrooms are warm and cheese is melted. Then serve! Broiling this stuffed mushroom recipe works well.

Crab Caps Stuffed Mushroom Recipe
Ingredients:

2lbs of fresh mushrooms (Button type)                                                        2 - 6 oz. cans of crab meat
½ cup Merlot                                                                                                     1 - 8 oz. pkg of cream cheese
2 tsp butter                                                                                                        2 cloves minced garlic
4 oz. minced onion                                                                                          6 oz. very thinly sliced Havarti
2 tbsp of paprika

Preheat oven to 350 F. Place cream cheese in a large mix bowl to soften. Wash mushrooms and remove the stems. Place mushrooms in a bowl and marinate with Merlot and refrigerate. In a separate bowl, mix the drained crab meat, cream cheese, garlic and onion. Spray Pam on rectangular baking dish. Stuff mushroom caps with the mixture; and place on baking dish. Place a thin slice of Havarti over each stuffed mushroom cap. Sprinkle stuffed caps with paprika. Bake covered for 40 minutes. Any leftover stuffing makes an excellent dip.

Bacon Stuffed Mushroom Recipe

Ingredients: 2 lb. fresh mushrooms                                                              11 oz. soft cream cheese
1 minced onion                                                                                                1/2 lb. fried bacon, crumbled
1/2 c. parmesan cheese                                                                                garlic salt

Directions: Wash mushrooms and break off stems. Place mushrooms on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with garlic salt. Mix the softened cream cheese, onion, bacon and parmesan cheese together. Fill mushroom caps with mixture. Bake at 350 for 10 - 15 minutes until hot. Then enjoy this Bacon Stuffed Mushroom Recipe!


When preparing any of these stuffed mushroom recipes, you will have the mushroom stems left over after you have removed them and you can use them in soups, omelets, mushroom cheeseburgers, stir fries etc.
