I have tried to diet many times and each time I reached my goal weight, but once I reached it I slowly reverted back to my old habits. Over time, the pounds came back! I have been able to keep the pounds off once I started making a habit out of some of these tips that I will post here on this Healthy Recipe page. I was able to educate myself regarding what food is good for me and what is not. Once you research the quality of the food you intake, you may be surprised to some meals that you thought were good but are not. Get educated first! It really is quite simple! Now I check the calorie, fat and fibre content of all products. The lower the fat and calorie content, the better the food is for you. As well, the higher the fibre content, the better the food is for you.   Check back to this Healthy Recipe page for new tips we will be adding on a regular basis.

Is snacking your downfall? If you enjoy eating chips like I do, then eating healthy may be a challenge. I believe you can slowly replace some of the foods you like so much but your belly doesn’t. The key is to find replacement foods that you’ll enjoy as much, but are healthier for you. Then you won’t feel deprived! Healthy Recipes has many tasty ideas for you!

Healthy Recipe Snack Tips
Replace chips with healthier options. Most brands of chips have 300ish calories and 14-18 grams of fat per 20 chips or so, I have found some tasty healthier replacements; Cheecha Krackles – 90 calories, 2.9g fat, 1g fibre per 2 cups --- Kettle brand potato chips(Costco) – 160 calories, 4g fat per 32 chips(These taste excellent!)---- Orville Redenbacher’s Smart popcorn – 130 calories, 2g fat & 6g fibre per ½ bag(40g)
